Previously when Atlanta cops showed or pointed their taser at some kids that DA said the taser was a deadly weapon. Now when Mr. Brooks points and FIRES the STOLEN taser the same DA says it's not a deadly weapon. The Georgia statutes say that a taser is a deadly weapon. This DA need to be fired for incompetence. That same DA said that he never had a police officer testify against another police officer. Well, previously the officer testified in grand jury proceedings against another police officer. Again, this DA is an idiot! I hope he gets fired like these two cops did. That would be JUSTIFIED.

This is Total Bullshit.. Cops used a deadly weapon against a non lethal weapon.. Cops didn't fire a warning shot but are trained by the military to "Double Tap" and in this case 3 shoots were fired by the Cop.. There was no fear of taking the cops gun because there was another armed cop on the scene.. This event took place on private property so no jurisdiction for a DWI Test and he wasn't driving a car at the time..
This is another case of excessive force by cops for a state violation which is not a crime..

Brooks was a DUI/DWI who could not stay awake kept passing out in beginning, did not even know what location he was at! Failed all the " Field sobriety test " he was resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and felony evasion!
Assault & Battery of two uniformed Police officers, He posed a threat to the Public as a impaired intoxicated motorist and when he began shooting the taser guns he was a threat to the public!

The electric taster Guns darts could have hit a innocent civilians!
The two officer should be put back to work, allowed to collect workman comp for the work related injuries and the Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms needs to resign from her duties as Mayor!
