    The president needs to help California with a new Cal GOP chairman/chairwoman. Newsom is in as long as Travis Allan is in charge of CalGOP with no viable candidate that is both conservative AND acceptable to California voters. John Cox came close, but his campaign was sabotaged by Travis Allan and his Tea Party zealots of Orange county.
    There is no excuse for "he is not a real Republican, might as well stay home on election day".
    I remind my fellow Republicans that Reagan and Trump, like Cox, were pro-union Democrat businessmen before changing parties. In fact Reagan was president of the Screen Actors Guild until days before changing party and running for governor as a Republican. Cox is the sort of business/fiscal conservative social moderate acceptable to most Californians. Travis is an insane reactionary that wants a time machine back to a time that never was.
