I think the only safe approach to big tech like Google and social media like Facebook and Twitter is to force them into a 100% A-political stance. If they want to keep their companies they should not be involved in the political process in any way, shape or form. That's not to say users of their product must be a-political, but the companies and all their representatives should be. When privately owned companies become so powerful they have the might to topple governments, that's a serious problem. They must be reigned in before they do more damage.
Big Tech needs to lose their Section 230 today and forever. Get their boot off our necks.
The conclusion is: nothing will be done.
