Next week the Senate Judiciary Committee will consider legislation by Senator Marsha Blackburn.
It seeks to limit the so-called section 230 liability shield, which conservatives say empowers big tech companies to engage in censorship and viewpoint discrimination.

I know she's lying because she keeps saying, "big tech"

Also it does say why its removed.

Just because you hear a lot of people saying, doesn't mean what you heard is true

  2. A Fox says:

How DUMB. You don't have to keep any part of 230. The smaller companies (startups) won't be classified the same as they aren't censoring content by way of editing as publishers do. The Big tech companies that don't censer or edit content should keep the protections. Only those that censor content by way of editorial publishing should lose 230 protections.

We have people with the mentality of kindergartners producing legislation for our country on our behalf and that's what needs to be reigned in and put a stop to. No more wars! No new laws! We clean up the mess these spoiled brats have made before we continue forward. You stop thier pay and benefits, the bullshit ends overnight. Guarantee it. Don't believe it? Then put it to the test. Its very sickening how utterly ignorant and lazy this entire country is. Its absurd and embarrassing.

  4. Bill Smith says:

They knew about this bullshit years ago. It's only after a fantastic president gets hit that they do something about it! F. these worthless legislatures !!!!

  5. J P says:

GET RID OF THE SECTION 230.. UNTIL THEN THEY WON'T SMARTEN UP.. RIGHT NOW.. THEY RIDICULE THE SYSTEM AS THEY PUNITIVELY PUSH THEIR AGENDA AND THEIR LEFTIST NARRATIVES!!

  6. Mike Clark says:

You think Big Tech will be advantaged by having their immunity removed? I know some people will say that it advantages them… and yeah in a way it does a little bit, they would likely censor the hell out of everyone to avoid getting sued… but… The amount of revenue they would lose by people not wanting to deal with their BS rules, would be so incredible they would likely be brought to near destruction. I think 230 needs to be revamped hard, possibly removed altogether (and replaced of course) with something that for one… doesn't grant them blanket immunity for EVERYTHING, but focuses on protecting USERS and their freedom to speak. No one is MAKING them create a communications platform, but if you decide you are going to make one, communications in The United States of America are supposed to be free from the control of the powerful.

  7. S M says:

Gives them the power to censor conservatives ( DNC contribution)…… TRYING TO NFLUENCE THE OUT COME THE 2020 ELECTION which did NOT work!

The Journalists code of ethics should be read by the fake news reporters so they can see that thay are giving more of an opinion than factual news.
Reporters should stick with the true facts, not twist or sensationalize the news  to their liking.
The public deserves enough respect to
Think for themselves what to decide about the story, without reporters dumbing them down.
          We can think for ourselves.
publish the journalist code of ethics  so the general public can see for themselves what is expected of the real news.
