Does Steve really believe people would, if offered the chance, not go back to the job they had, possibly for many years, just to collect temporary unemployment benefits? Or even turn down a full-time job they applied for just to collect very short-term temporary payments with no benefits? All this especially true for older people or for those who help jobs in travel or other industries hit the hardest; many of those jobs will be gone for a while and trainings also take time as does even getting hired in industries in which someone has no experience or background. Steve and others like him are extremely narrow-sighted. And why? Because they’re so concerned about an out of control national debt that THEY created by mismanagement, incompetence and corruption?

Greta, please tell Stephen that he is totally wrong about the $300 week payment. it is not a double pmt as he incorrectly suggested. It is actually a replacement to the $600 weekly payment that ended in August – so it's only 1/2 the amount. and this bill will probably not pay for the missed months of Sept Oct Nov Dec. Trying to be polite here, but you have interviewed an IDIOT on your program, which reflects on OAN.

In Texas, regular unemployment runs out quick, so people formerly receiving $3,000 a week now only get $300 a week. His blanket statement on unemployment being too high is disgraceful and unforgivable.

Steve moore, I guess you didn't have any problem collecting your paycheck the last 6 months, were about to lose everything we have, my last job I earned $680 a shift putting in 93 hours a week, I've not had a income from June till November, because unemployment uses covid 19 as a crutch to go slow AF, further more, that money still won't put me back in the black so climb off your high horse, and away from your lush mansion and eat bologna and pinto beans for 6 months, or plain white rice for a few weeks in a row, live our lives for once dickhead !!

The issue should be that Americans aren't getting paid enough for their debt load. If you have it where people are making $800 or less a week and do you think they're living rich. Maybe you should reevaluate why they have to live 70 times lower than your income.
