Atlanta police chief steps down after fatal officer involved shooting of Rayshard Brooks

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms has called for the “immediate termination” of the officer involved in the fatal shooting death of Rayshard Brooks in the city late Friday night. One America’s Emily Finn explains why the incident sparked the city’s police chief to step down from her position.

    Sorry! You are wrong. If police are assaulted, he can defend himself. The adrenalin going a person after and during a fight reactions happen. Pass a law; if an officer is attacked, he can use deadly force. Maybe people will not fight and try to kill or hurt officers. Defend your police at least give him a trial before you pass judgment. All people need to respect Law lawful people would have allowed the arrest to continue.  THugs and violent unlawful people do what just happen.  Defend your police and let him have a trial.  Karma is a witch.

    Do not resist arrest. What part of that does not resonate with people? Do not fight the police, sheriff deputy’s, Highway patrol and game wardens. Do not resist arrest. You will live to see another day. I cannot understand why they run, fight, take guns, and tasers. They have your name and address. If you run away, and if your not hurt, or shot in the process, you will be arrested later on for more charges than you started with. Unless of course you can hide out until the drugs and or alcohol leaves your system. So don’t drive under the influence don’t go out breaking more laws. Problem solved.

    It's sad to see a good cop leave. We the people are speaking: These police brutality and excessive force encounters are not isolated incidents. They happen because of poor and or incorrect training. Gezz, reform cops from top to bottom ! Protests will not stop until cops behave professionally… more like military police !

    The drunk–convict committed 9 crimes b4 even being shot at….
    Sleeping in a drive thru in a car, blocking traffic, blowing a blood alcohol, dui, drunk driving, resisting arrest, assaulting not 1 but 2 police officers, stealing a weapon, fleeing from cops, & shooting at a cop,
    …. he deserved to be shot !
