Independent contractors in California have said the controversial Assembly Bill 5 has kept them from finding work in the state. One America’s Pearson Sharp spoke with Sen. Brian Jones (R-Calif.), who has said AB 5 is crushing California’s economy.

    It sounds like the bill is doing exactly what they said it would do; it keeps independent contractors from being taken advantage of and over worked because they cant find ANY work.
    Mission of bill accomplished. The left says they are for the workers, they are actually for getting themselves more power and money.

    Vote Red and overturn bad government. Took them taxing the RAIN for Maryland to do it, got him in, tax removed, he still in today. Run on removing the bill after you explain to all how damaging and unfair it is.

    People who rallied behind this and got burned should have remembered the three phrases you should never trust:

    "The check is in the mail."
    "Of course I'll still love you in the morning"
    "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help"

    And when the government gives you all their stats and data on how this will TOTALLY work this time, remember what Clemens said: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."
