I just must…

My FB friend, Richard sent this gem of a comment on my last public thread regarding our taxes going up in Utah… You be the judge on his comments…… No, not the judge of heaven and hell… His comments.

Richard: “…We are a growing state and it’s a great place to live. Time to pay the piper.”

Me: “What does that even mean? Pay the piper? Are you listening to yourself?”

Richard: “Eric Moutsos it means to bear the consequences of an activity one has enjoyed. And we have enjoyed a great well run state. In the end, I don’t trust myself, nor you, nor the everyday citizens to understand tax law or money we need to for the future. I elect people to represent me. These legislators know better than you or I what the future holds, and why we need to update our tax laws. I trust Herbert, and the Republican legislator, more so than I trust a bunch freeloaders who don’t think they owe anything to anyone. If you don’t like it, move to less well run states. Nevada just across the state line Eric, ain’t much taxes there.

Brother Richard,

You don’t “trust yourself” with your own money? I’ve never heard anyone on any planet I’ve visited (Yes, I’ve visited multiple planets talking about taxes) say anything like this, let alone think anything like this. So because you don’t trust yourself with your money, you’re going to trust the government, especially the Utah government? How about I take your money and invest it. I’ll even give you a return.

Do we really need to be taxed because our state is “great”? Does “great” equal just handing over money in your eyes?

Do you even know how much this is going to be? One report I read from David Brader (correct me if I’m wrong) is going to be $315.00 per year, per person increase in expenditures. $1575 for a family of five per year. – 7 years is $11,025 per family. Is this the “piper” you’re talking about?

“I trust Herbert, and the Republican legislators, more so than I trust a bunch of freeloaders who don’t think they owe anything to anyone. If you don’t like it, move to… Nevada…”

Richard, if we continue on this path, we will be Nevada, including having to erect casinos just to sustain life; next, we will travel down the road to become like her neighboring broken and decrepit state of California; where homeless camps, needles, and feces cover the streets. SLC isn’t too far off.

Further, for you to say you trust every “Republican” in Utah is again, why we are headed off a cliff. I hate to be the one to burst your Utah bubble, but the far right and the far left are the EXACT same thing, different cheek to the exact same %$#, and have the EXACT same goals in the end. Which is to grow a stinky and bigger government that truly believe they are smarter with your money, than you are. But, now with comments like yours I see why they continue to get away with it.

One of the reasons why Utah CAN be great is because we started on correct principles of self-sustainment WITHOUT a giant government overshadowing the economy. It grew just fine. However, and again not saying this mean, it’s because of people like you who automatically trust the white shirt and tie, part in the hair, self-serving system we call Utah government today. Yes, there are a FEW “WOK” law makers in Utah, but very very few and far between.

Last, your public comments truly worry me. This is why I’m doing an entire post on them. You, brother, respectfully, are the very reason why the term “Sheeple” is coined and used, especially in the state of Utah. You sir, scare me more than the people in power. Why? Because it’s people like you who give them the power to do whatever they want, whenever they want; sneaky session after sneaky session.

Sincerely,

Eric Moutsos

I just got into it with a guy regarding the Iranian attack today on the Iraq base that houses US Troops…

He said: “The US is the most hypocritical country in the world. Every last thing it accuses Iran of it has done and more.”

Really? Every last thing? Like rounding up and killing 6,000 LGBT people, hanging or throwing them off buildings? Like that kind of more? Or 30 years in jail for women who forget to cover their faces with scarfs? That kind of more?

Pretty sure if you live in the US and are a LGBT woman, you’re going to get quickly promoted up the chain of any command, in any company. Not killed.

I don’t know about you, but I truly have a hard time with these people who live in the US and still have this attitude toward the country they live and thrive in. Especially under this administration. Trump has been the only one actually trying to pull more troops home.

Remember, it was Obama who gave Iran billions. He should be the one you guys criticize. Not Trump. It was Iran who attacked and was plotting to attack us, not Trump.

Every move the US makes, you have this weird group of people who seem to only want to find fault with the US and her past. Yes, we have an ugly past with certain administrations; but not all of them. We have done wrong, but we are not evil as a whole. And our intent is peace. I know Trumps is.

These are some of the same people who don’t stand for the pledge, who are anti-war under any circumstances, don’t think Veterans should be thanked, etc etc etc … I wonder what they would have thought when Hitler was steam-rolling across the globe? Oh wait, these people think we are Hitler. Many of them are terrorists sympathizers.

But you know what these people are going to do tonight?

They are going to relax, play with their little iPhones for a few hours, make a few snarky comments on how crappy the US is, cuttle into a cozy warm bed, wake up, take a warm shower, eat great food, crap in a clean toilet while checking social media, and go make more money than most in the world, X10. Over and over and over.

Why?

Partly because we have REAL Americans who put their lives on the line each day, here and abroad, to help keep those freedoms that are afforded to us. That’s the truth. We need a military. And because of how evil the world is, unfortunately we need an even bigger and stronger military that can withstand that evil who want us dead.

And yes, war can be a big financial gain to some. But two things can be true at once; You can have groups who make a lot of money on war, AND at times terrorist thug bullies need removed out of the sandbox. No pun intended.

Now, I’m not the type that wants war. I don’t want to “thump my chest”…And I don’t think war is the only solution. I believe peace is the answer. But peace can’t always happen when one group doesn’t want peace. Peace is not in their plan.

If we didn’t have global thugs who’s only mission was to kill anyone who disagrees with them, this would be a different story. But terrorism is real, and certain battles need to be fought and thugs need to be taken out.

But if you truly believe we, the United States of America are the real global terrorists, guess what, the wall has not been put up yet; walk out, fly out, and get out. If you don’t like what we stand for, leave. Or…..please shut the hell up.

People are saying we are the ones who caused Iran to strike today? Not a chance. Iran had been hitting and hitting; I’d be willing to bet this attack today was already planned, and Trump knew it. Just wait until the dust settles and the story is told. Trump has known these plans for a while now. I believe Trump saved lives and will continue to save more.

If you want to change something, you jump in the President Trump’s shoes. Again, he needs our prayers, not our criticism. Get over yourselves.

A lot of people have asked me why it was a bad move by Mitt Romney to criticize the President the way he did a few days ago. And specifically, why I care that Romney of all people, would.

The more and more I think about it, the more it frustrates me he did what he did, and the way he did it.

Why?

Because you can’t be taken seriously after running to Trump on three different occasions, for his help to help further your political career, and then turn around and bash him for not having moral character.

2012: “Can I get your endorsement to help me?” Trump “Yes”. Mitt: “Thank you, you’re great.” Three seconds later: “Trump is a fake and a fraud.” After Trump wins President “Can I come get a job with you?” Trump: “Let’s look into it.” Mitt: “Thank you you’re great.” Three seconds later: Bashes him again in the media. 2018: “Can I get your endorsement in a state that I don’t live in for Senate? Trump: “Yes, go get em, let’s work as a team.” Mitt: “Thank you, you’re great.” Three seconds later: “Donald Trump doesn’t have the moral character to hold the Presidential mantle.” blasted through a liberal ragweed. (Then goes on CNN two seconds after that?)

Now, do I think Trump has a great moral compass? No I don’t. I’m not a “No-matter-what Trumper” I believe we should criticize when ANY president makes bad policy moves. Trump does good things and Trump does bad things. He’s not a prophet or a savior. But he is a fighter for certain things (That NEED to happen in America) and someone we need in officer right now. Nobody else could get some of the things done that needs done.

So with that said…

Mitt Romney attacking Trumps “moral character” AFTER getting what he wanted from Trump to further his political career is a huge lack of moral character.

Why would you want an endorsement, then a job, then an endorsement again, from a fake immoral person? You wouldn’t unless you were just as fake. Especially when you pretended to live full time in a state and USING the state of Utah (her people) for your political career? Does anyone else see the hypocrisy in this?

I believe this stems from jealousy that he doesn’t hold the office that Trump has, and desperately wants. That’s the truth. He’s addicted to himself it seems.

I’m from the state of Utah and disapprove fully of what Mitt Romney had to say, and he does not represent MANY in the state of Utah. In fact, he’s making Utah look foolish. Please go back to Mass or California, Mitt, where you actually live. Retire. Go to your great family and volunteer in soup kitchen if you want to serve people. For real, man. Please stop what you’re doing, and go back home. The President has problems, yes, we all know that, but you’re not helping him make America great again by pretending to be any better than he is.

If Mitt would have put 1/2 the fight he puts toward Trump, in the Obama race, he would have very well been the “Chief” of them all and had a little bit more room to talk.

One thing I need to make clear is my love and admiration for the good men and women in blue who put their life on the line everyday.

I know telling some of my old police stories can seem to put police in a bad light at times. This is not ever my intent. It’s the broken political system I try to bring to light. I believe one of the biggest problems in LE today is not the regular line-officer who signed up to serve and protect, but mostly police leadership who are run by bad political leaders above them. Bad culture and pressure from the top down. And this is to say nothing about how many laws we have on the books.

Chiefs who are literally ordered (decision by decision) by mayors with a deep distain toward police, but still want the police budgets and protection it brings to the city. Mayors who have now become the police by running the police, then whip the officers when they enforce their type of policing. See the irony?

Mayors who badmouth guns, but yet hire officers from the agency personally protect them 24/7. Then, will quickly throw the officers under the bus if the officer needs to make a split second decision that may look bad on a two dimensional camera. See the irony?

It’s called having your cake and eating it, too. It doesn’t work. And the “leaders” of most PD’s buckle under the pressure (every single time) to keep their status and paycheck. That’s the truth. Most are not true leaders.

Just because there’s some things I believe need to change (like very limited government to begin with) doesn’t mean I’m at all anti-police. Limited government doesn’t mean no government. In fact, I’m pro-good policing. Yes, it’s possible. I have too many stories to count where I know I was there to save and protect life. Truly serving and protecting. There was nothing better. And just because I offer my ideas doesn’t mean I’m always right. I’m just one man with one opinion.

But to you who are truly anti-cop..

Who are you going to call when you or your family gets hit by a drunk driver?Who are you going to call when riots break out and the streets and your business windows are broken? Or when your nice pretty iphone or property gets stolen out of your hands? Or your identity gets taken? Who will you call if you or your family gets physically assaulted (or worse) and you want justice? Who? That’s right, you will call the police for help. And they will help. Even if you hate them.

The truth is we need the American Police Officer. I should say Peace Officers. We need the thin blue line in society. But more importantly we need The People to get engaged in the voting process to elect moral leaders in their cities and counties who are going to allow the police to truly serve and protect with discretion. Leaders who try and understand natural law and the proper role of government. Not leaders who try to grow more government with more police that they hate. That’s where true change can happen. With you and me.

To you who are currently serving in law enforcement and truly care about the people you serve and protect. Again, I love you and I back you. I’m sorry if some of my police stories put you in a bad light. Keep up the good work you do and stay safe.

One of the biggest lies that’s being told in America today is that “racism” still exists like it used to in the 60’s. It doesn’t. At least not like they want us to believe. Sure there are some “racists” who hate, but it’s just because they hate everyone, including their own race. And there are defiantly those that use “minorities” for their political agenda. All in the name of a unity deficiency in the United States.

But here we are to the point where our country is as divided as it is. On a lie. The single biggest reason why race is still a huge topic today is because we keep talking about it. The media feeds off it. Politicians can’t get enough of it. Colleges and schools preach it from every classroom. It’s engrained. And that’s the only reason it’s still here.

When it comes to the police, people really believe police are somehow racist to minorities. It’s a lie. Did you know more white people are shot by police than blacks each year? Significantly higher number. I was a cop for 7 years and never met a racist cop. Never heard a peep of racial slurs. In 7 years.

Here’s the irony that some wont like- it’s called reverse discrimination. (Not the same as racism) I’ve seen it too many times to count. I’m sure you have. But nobody dares to talk about it or bring it up.

What I’ve noticed (correct me if I’m wrong) is the only people, in today’s society, that are actually getting passed up for positions, and schools, within many and most organizations are straight white males. That’s the truth. Next are strait white females on the list. Then Hispanics are next. So on until the most diverse person, a transgendered Native American. That’s a home run mix. This is why people like Elizabeth Warren said she was an Indian when she’s not. This is the game people must play to think they have a shot. That’s another reason why they are putting “sexual orientation” into everything. A forced, fake, utopia. And we all play into it.

Another lie is that “White Privilege” is a thing in todays climate. It’s not. And if it was, why would someone like Elizabeth Warren need to pretend to be Native American to get into school and climb the political ladder? She wouldn’t.

I have a friend who is a twin and they are half Hispanic. Him and his brother put in for the exact same college and he checked he was white and his brother checked he was Hispanic. The “Hispanic” brother got in, he didn’t. That’s not white privilege.

Our modern society tries so hard for “diversity” that we ironically end up discriminating. And guess what? You can discriminate on any color, including white. But that’s not the narrative being told.

Organizations care first and only on how they are seen as when hiring vs. hiring the best possible candidate with competence and character. They in turn create their own monster problems that end up eating and suing them in the end.. and for what? You got it… Discrimination. They’ve created their own poisonous culture in the workplace.

It gives a disservice to everyone; especially a minority or female who can actually out perform everyone, too. Because then everyone thinks (including them) that the only reason they got the job, was to fill the race and gender quota. It’s a lose lose for all.

Here’s an idea…. stop talking about race. Stop talking about skin color, gender, sexual orientation, and on and on and on… Treat each other like we want to be treated. We are ONE race. The human race. That’s how you fix it. Just stop and live the golden rule. There is no other way to unite.
