There’s been a spike in reported violent crimes on the student alert system ever since the University of Minnesota cut ties with the Minneapolis Police Department. One America’s Stephanie Myers spoke with Campus Reform correspondent and University of Minnesota student Alyssa Rinelli to get her perspective on the matter.

What is completely left out of this is that the University already has its own police department and the university only cut ties with MPD for contracts for extra security at sporting events and other large events. The Saint Paul PD will be picking up the slack. Their decision has no bearing on police activity around campus

This is absolutely fake news…I live on the University of Minnesota campus. We had a few alerts a week last fall and this past winter. There’s even fewer alerts now, probably because of Covid

Be careful what you wish for! Remove the Police and this is what happens- dumb decision! The Police should not even go back in there – let them hire counsellors, social workers, and security guards- to take care of those leftist liberal cry babies!!

AS if SAFE ADVISORY will actually DETER CRIMINALS from committing crime. The Minnesota University WENT WOKE by cutting ties with the POLICE. So you have all the criminals going to University not to enroll and get a degree, but to take the students tuition fees and other valuables with impunity!
