    We need to be a compassionate nation with well-defined laws so genuine asylum seekers and legal immigrants have certainty they are being treated fairly .
    Native Americans are the only non-immigrants .

    About time that POTUS TRUMP did something . I came to US legally in 1982. And I am just outrage what the Democrats have done to this country I love. Once TRUMP wins and the REPUBLICANS win US House of Representative and US Senate remains REPUBLICANS, there will be an IMMIGRATION OVERHAUL and will be MERIT based system similar to Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

    Don't allow amnesty to be part of immigration reform. Amnesty is a bad idea, because it shows that ignoring our law is a winning strategy, and encourages more lawless migration. Each amnesty, like the 1986 amnesty, will be followed by another wave of lawless migration, to be followed by another amnesty. Break the cycle. No amnesty.

    Anyone seeking asylum, or legal immigration. Should have to sign a contract stipulating that they will learn the english language. Their religion will not supercede US laws, and that they can only receive up to 2 years welfare benefits if they are not working. Also if they obviously came here for a better life. Any criminal conviction means deportation

    There has been AN EXISTING law that asylum seekers have to apply to countries bordering their own. If they pass through another country that offers them asylum, as Mexico did for Guatemalans, then that's their asylum.
