I sure wish journalists would label things correctly. Non-lethal weapons is inaccurate. The correct nomenclature is less lethal weapons, specifically because they can kill you if you are hit in a vital area at close distance.
So don't shoot criminals, but ban less lethal alternatives?

As a lifelong resident of Seattle I'm disgusted by our mayor and governor they are enabling this violence simply to damage Trump even though it's destroying this once beautiful city. They have abandoned the citizens in order to protect criminals.
This is what happens when politicians who know little about anything attempt to tell experts how to do their jobs. In my city, the city council voted to fire a city employee for volunteering to go with his Army Reserve unit when it was activated and sent to Afghanistan. He didn’t have to go because OF PRIOR SERVICE, yet they argued he volunteered, he wasn’t ordered. The union got his job back 18 months later. He returned after being awarded the Bronze Star. None of the cowards on the council had ever been in the military or public service of any kind other than being self-serving politicians. I have no respect for people like this. Support your local public safety employees. Can changes be made so they better serve you? Yes, but the system is not broken and the vast majority of them do their jobs well! Let them do their jobs.

As more and more Police are hurt it makes me wonder why these men and women put themselves at risk. Just today I heard where 3 policemen were shot in Chicago while arresting someone. These brave souls have families that must fear every time they walk out the door to go to work.

One thing about it, this is actually asking the police to shoot people for resisting arrest, that should be their right, especially in the ban of non-lethal police equipment, because this is how it is done. The police are being harassed for doing their duties in obstruction of justice to calm the rioters and arrest troublemakers, because what is being encouraged is criminal activities. It has been over sixty days of riots, and all we see is people causing harm and an excuse to thieve and loot across America that has nothing to do with George Floyd, where Minneapolis is where they should focus their thoughts.
