She needs to voluntarily take responsibility for her actions. Otherwise, her husband needs to be put out of the foreign service.

If she goes on her own, no protocols will be upset. The Brits are more lenient than the US, so she won't be railroaded. If it was some kid visiting on a tourist visa, he would be forced to take responsibility. She has taken the perks of a Diplomat; now she has to take the responsibilities of one.

These parents were in the United States and refused to meet with this woman. No we are not handing over US citizens to any country so they can do whatever they damn well please. Do you think the UK has turned over their citizens hell no. End of discussion

  3. David D says:

I think it would be okay for her to return to the UK provided any penalties were limited to an acknowledgment of wrongdoing and monetary compensation.

  4. john barnes says:

they said they would meet her but only on UK soil. these people are as dumb as democrats. clearly you just want her to be arrested when for one she has diplomatic immunity and 2 trump made a very good point. , were use to driving on the opposite sides of the road. its an honest mistake. a tragic one but still the same. do i think she deserves jail? absolutely NOT

  5. K MJ says:

She murdered that boy the second she claimed immunity. Accidents happen, but most people face up to them. Cowardly woman and the people who protect her.

  6. Coffee Break says:

At the 'LEAST' , she should be punished here in USA. I would think 7 years for Manslaughter would be appropriate & banned from the UK for life. Her husband should also pay the boy's funeral expenses & a large sum of money to parents. It's called JUSTICE !!! Let's start practicing what we preach !

  7. He Sees All says:

Justice and Judegement awaits. She is only a wife of a diplomat. Her name isn't on her husband's paycheck, therfore, why should she be covered? It appears it's eaiser to get diplomatic immunity coverage than family health insurance.

  8. T M says:

yeh..we should have sent her back a long time ago, so I assume we are using her as leverage for some reason.

  9. Robert the Bruce says:

This is exactly why people have "diplomatic immunity". I am above the law. I answer to no one. No one should have immunity ever. They shouldn't have let her escape.

  10. THATGUY says:

Yeah… I can see how forcing someone to face justice could set a dangerous precedent. Whatever happened to everyone equal under the law. I’ll bet if one of US had….what’s the point!

  11. tantagoth says:

Diplomats need the immunity for security reasons but how is an intelligence officer's wife get immunity? She needs to face the consequences and be honest or she is no better than other abusers of foreign positions.

  12. Liiz Pem says:

Uk just stopped extradition law with Hong Kong, but our extradition law with America only works one way and benefits one country.
