BS there was never a treasure. I get not naming the person but he could now mention where it was buried if there was a treasure and also how his poem would work to find the treasure. He could also show us all on video. There are other lawsuits facing him. People died because of a hoax so he could sell his book.

It couldn't have been found at a better time! Forest Fenn did an amazing thing and someone has an amazing story to tell for generations to come. This is just great to hear! I'm happy he was alive to witness someone finding it.

I would bet a million dollars that there never was any treasure. Forrest Fenn, not Finn brought the hunt to an end.
Why? Because he felt guilty about the 4 people who died on account of his lie.

  4. Don Gosen says:

The whole treasure was a scam. The most lucrative thing you could do would be to go public. There is more money to be made on news shows, magazine articles, public appearances, movie deal, book deal and so on. Forest made the hunt up to get people out doors discovering the real treasure and when he got in to deep he was trapped.

Oh i remeber about 2 years ago a man claimed to have a map of the exact location. He was willing to give it to me for 10 bucks… but i was too busy hunting rabbits near Valentines.

It was a fraud to sell books..people died,…he had to stop…and now, it's found…so only 4 dead and no proof it ever existed…I hope he declared those items on his taxes, the irs has pretty strict rules on giving away priceless artifacts worth a million bucks…scam that killed…smh…proof please…!!!!

Who's to say this wasn't a hoax? There's no actual proof of ANYTHING in this yarn. Lots of people bought the book and read the poem and a couple died because of it. But no facts have come out. Nothing. Is Fenn scared of lawsuits from the dead's relatives? I've read hundreds of treasure stories and that's all they were. This is no different. I call BS on Fenn.

People felt hopeless, so to cheer people up I took over $1,000,000 in gold and gems in a chest and buried it in the middle of nowhere. That will make people feel better about their situation, knowing other people have so much money they can bury more money than most people can make in a lifetime wherever and watch idiots literally kill themselves for it. Good job. You should run for office.

🎶Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed
Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was shooting for some food,
And up through the ground come a bubbling crude
(Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea)🎶
