Everything he says is true. Once God was removed from public discourse and academic thought, a great hole was left in the human psyche. We need to understand the universe, to understand how and why things occur – we are wired up that way. Most religions have always (for many thousands upon thousands of years) tried to provided this answer (leaving aside any arguments about which religion got it 'more right' that another). Remove religion and replace it with the 'sacred' and 'hallowed' halls of government. That is the goal. But can any sane person genuinely believe that government (a group of humans same as yourself) really have all those metaphysical answers? Or science (a recent addition to the genre of 'religion')? Not knocking science, only those fanatical adepts who claim (much as was claimed a century and more ago, look up Lord Kelvin) that science has now (or nearly now) finally uncovered all the answers to life, the universe, and everything (sorry Doug)? That, as Lord Kelvin claimed, 'there are no more mysteries'?

There were several thousand cars with Trump and American flags honking their horns to pedestrians on the sidewalks.
